Features such as task notifications, a cap on the number of projects you can have, themes, and so forth. There is a free version but they kept some very important elements under a paywall. If you will get to try Things 3 and love it, just pay for it and stick with it as it is going to be a one-time purchase, unlike the monthly payments that you will have to be subjected to when using Todoist. As soon as I started using the Mac version of the app I fell in love with it pushing me to actually forget about Todoist and just keep on loving Things 3. I even requested a 15 day trial from the Things 3 website for the Mac version. But around October last year, I decided to go back to Things 3 and try and adjust my whole Todoist workflow in it. I used the app on and off for almost a year as I kept returning to Todoist because I was just so used to it. So I purchased the app and there I had it, on my iOS device and apple watch. I thought it looked amazing and I just wanted to try it out myself. I decided to jump into YouTube real quick and watch some reviews on it. So around the beginning of 2021, I found things 3, an app that was on the AppStore for $9.99 ($10). Trust me, I have downloaded almost 80% of all to-do list apps on the app store(Well except for those that aren't just great straight after you read the description and look at the app photos and features as well as the reviews). So I started going through the app store to look for a better alternative. But while using it I realized that there were some aspects of design and functionality that I just didn't like. I loved it and I still do think it's an amazing app. I have personally been using Todoist for almost two years.

It was very tough to decide but I actually came to the conclusion that Things 3 had better features and advantages that suited my workflow and I believe might suit a lot of people too. I can't believe that I finally decided to take the step and move on to Things 3 from Todoist. After using Todoist for a long time I decided to move to Things 3.
