The opening of the SoJo spa club reflects the transformation of a once-industrial town into the Edgewater of today, with shopping centers and upscale housing overlooking the Hudson River and New York City skyline. A seven-story luxury spa – offering saunas, pools, Japanese-style baths, massages and other services – is opening this week in Edgewater on part of the old Alcoa factory site.
